Biography

I am currently a PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Quantitative Biosciences of Georgia Institute of Technology starting from Fall 2023. I work at the intersection of machine learning and neuromechanics.

I obtained my Master’s Degree in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. I obtained my BEng in Software Engineering and BSc in Biological Sciences at Sichuan University, China, in 2021.

I was a Research Assistant in School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University working with Hesheng Wang, PhD. I was an Assistant Investigator in Lab of Neural Interface, Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, working with Zhengtuo Zhao, PhD. I was an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, working with Wei-Long Zheng, PhD. I was also a Summer Fellow in School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at University of Essex, United Kingdom, working with Junhua Li, PhD.

Image-Guided Surgery Software
Integrated algorithms of robot motion planning, VSLAM, 3D reconstruction, control, and kinematics
Cyborg Mouse
Performed electrode-implantation neurosurgery on mice, built a signal acquisition system to collect their neural signals and motions, and analysed the data from mice using deep learning models.
Invasive Brain-Machine Interface Robot
Designed (Solidworks), manufactured (3D Print & CNC), and assembled (cameras with light modules+ step motors + Arduino) a precise automated neurosurgery robot.
Mouse Motion Reconstruction
Wrote a Unity3D program, developed a 3D simulated mouse, and used C# to reconstruct the activities of the electrode-implanted mouse to 3D simulated mouse in real time
Multitask Learning and EEG
Conducted research on the multitask learning and EEG based emotion recognition and person identification
Survey of Deep Learning in EEG
Read and summarized scientific papers that were published in the past 10 years on the topic of deep learning in EEG signal processing
